What is it used for?
AD-305 is a powder additive that facilitates the release of plastic parts made by injection or blow molding. It is produced with high-purity fatty acids to ensure consistent quality.
Main Benefits
- It lowers the coefficient of friction between the part and the mold.
- It releases parts automatically during production without the need to apply a release-agent aerosol.
- Efficient performance: low cost and easy application.
Plastic resins where it can be used
It can be used with a wide range of plastic resins such as:
- High-Density Polyethylene
- Low-Density Polyethylene
- Linear Low-Density Polyethylene
- Polypropylene
- General-Purpose Polystyrene
- High- or Medium-Impact Polystyrene
- PVC compounds
- SAN
- TPU
- EVA
Suggested Dosage
| Application | Suggested amount |
|---|---|
| Injection / Blow molding | 1 g per kilogram of resin |
| Additional adjustments | Increase only if necessary |
How to use it
- Weigh the appropriate amount of additive according to the resin.
- Mix it with the other additives.
- Mix for 5 minutes.
- Add the color concentrate.
- Mix for another 7 minutes.
How it works during molding
- When heated, the additive melts inside the molten plastic.
- As it cools, it begins to migrate toward the surface.
- It forms an internal layer that helps release the part.
Important
- With short carbon chains, migration is faster.
- It may create a light layer on the part that can affect surface decoration such as screen printing, hot stamping, or labeling.
- If the decorative finish is critical, we recommend evaluating products with a long carbon chain (such as AD-319 Slip L).
